Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 has 1 x PCIe Gen 2.0, which is useful for adding NVMe SSDs, GPU cards, and more. In this design, a 4-way PCIe Gen 2.0 switch / multiplexer is used to connect various PCIe peripherals of M.2 key M, M.2 key E, and mini-PCIe form factor.
